Well, I`m trying my best to deal with the worst celebrity crush I`ve ever  had in my life, working on it day by day, and thanking all that is holy and good in the world for my summer vacation starting early.
.
I just finished the movie The Deep Blue Sea, and now I have THAT depressive thing to deal with.  MAN, that movie hit me right in the feelers!  Yet another touchy subject to add to my list.
.
AND I`m being very stupid, listening to The Reunion  from the War Horse soundtrack, making it kinda hard to get up and move on from the EMO.  I don’t think watching War Horse would be a good idea today.
.

Maybe some AVPS instead?

Dear Thunderbug,

Good job with the poem ‘As I Walked Out One Evening’  by W. H. Auden.  You’re still missing a couple of lines here and there when put on the spot, but the whole thing is actually memorized now.  Have yourself another cup of tea, and don’t let Shakespeare’s Henry VI  get you so worked up.  You don’t have to finish it, just move along if it bothers you.

.

Just  FYI

 I`m writing this to myself.

My IRL names mean “Thunder” + “Grub”

What up

.

I`m doing my best to keep my eyes open (only three more hours to go!), and I just finished chatting with The Chicagian Boi.  He very nearly got me started on my intense Avengers fangirling today (of which he knows little), even though I have a strict rule to NOT mix that topic into regular conversation.  Luckily, my mind was still functioning enough to yell “STOP!!”  at me.  Good brain!

*pats brain*

It’s 6 am (or thereabouts) and the sun is shining.  It looks like yet another painfully hot day (ugh!) and I doubt going to school would be a good idea.  Not that I need to, I just do it for fun nowadays.  And driving would just be stupid right now.  But that’s what happens when you have too much fun all at once.  Who needs sleep anyways?   *blinks away a sudden pang of dizziness and gets herself a fresh cup of tea*

Dear hairdresser (who is also a good friend of mine),
.
Thank you for being available to answer random questions I’ve got about hair styles all day, and THANK YOU for keeping me from getting bangs.  I still want them, but now I know why it would be the stupidest decision ever for me.  Well, I guess I`ll keep on dreaming.  But how about curls?  Could we try curls?
.
Still long-haired,
Yours Truly

Dear Self,
.
This is actually your first real vacation in two years.  Enjoy it while you can.  But! You are NOT allowed to bite your nails, and NO EXCUSES!  That’s what the big pillow in your face is for!  That, and to keep your fangirling squeals from waking up your new neighbor.  She does not understand why parts of certain Shakespearian plays make you so… unhinged.
.
Squeeing,
Me

Dear Brain,
.
Please stop exploding with joy every time you find a funny post on Tumblr, a hilarious tweet on Twitter, or an awesome video on YouTube.  Unless Shakespeare is involved, that is.  I could really use some of those things called braincells, yet you keep scattering them all over the place as soon as I do something enjoyable!  Could we not find a middle way where I get to have fun, and still retain the use of my little gray ones every once in a while?
.
Also, good work on the Macbeth soliloquies.  It seems that you are finally getting better at understanding instead of simply knowing.
.
Sincerely,

Me

I always name my stuff.  My material possessions.  (I am a material girl!)  I give them names instead of nouns, a personal nick that sort of becomes their personality after a while.  Or, as is the case with my iPhone 3G, the name actually comes along a little after the personality has settled itself.  But most of my stuff gets dubbed fairly quickly in life, and however weird the names are, that’s how I know and call them.

So, how about compiling a list?

.

The Car:  I have a nice little Nissan Micra, bright blue and cheerful.  It was quickly dubbed The Blueberry (Blåbæret), and that is how I distinguish it from the rest of the family.

.

The Phone:  By now, my iPhone 3G is quite old and outdated.  It will probably get replaced in a few months from now.  The name came gradually, because I always suspected there to be a horcrux inside it somewhere, the way it was behaving.  So I called it The Horcrux, but it was never really baptized as such.  Well, until early 2012, that is.  A friend of mine dubbed it The Dictator, because it kept booting me out of Skype whenever he tried calling me, and we are both convinced that my phone has a personal vendetta against him.  Thus my phone got its full name:  Dictator Horcrux.

.

The Scooter:  My beautiful PGO scooter has a very distinct look.  The way the black mirrors and front glass stick up from the dark red area, it looks distinctly like the head of a wasp/hornet.  Which is why I call it The Wasp.  (It’s ‘Vepsen’ in Norwegian, which is a pun on my dad’s Vespa.)  And it buzzes!

.

The computers:

The latest one in my collection was dubbed only the day after I got it up and running.  Topthorn is the name.  Actually, it’s really TopTopThorn, because for some reason I just did it like that and kept it thus.  If you’ve ever seen Warhorse, that’s where it came from.  I think I was listening to a certain track by John Williams when I named it.  I was also in the middle of talking about laptops VS desktops and other kinds of tops.

The second youngest laptop (the one I used the most before the youngest arrived) is simply called AL.  It’s the only one I didn’t name myself.

My older ASUS, the one with a broken lid and pretty much everything else in ruins  (I`m unable to get rid of the old ones for as long as they work even a little, and even then I keep holding on for years after), is named MokoMoko.  I have a sneaking suspicion I was in the middle of my very long-lasting manga obsession when I bought and named it, particularly InuYasha.  Other fans might get the reference, it’s random as heck.

.

My Seagate external hard drive is named CLU.

Guess why.

.

I do actually have a couple more machines, but they have not yet received their proper names.  There’s also the issue of me naming some of my non-machine possessions. I guess I`ll deal with them in a later post.
